I'm feeling inspired this week to take charge. May be it's because I'm trying hard to stick to my new year resolutions.

Why do we kid ourselves that we're not in control of our actions? We seem conditioned to blame something outside of ourselves for the parts of our life we don't like. We blame our boss, our spouse, lack of money, the snow even! Anyone or anything rather than look at ourselves for the answer.

The fact is that we are always in control. We are behind the wheel of our own lives and the only thing stopping us reaching our desired destination is that we often steer ourselves in the wrong direction. We took the job, we stayed in the job, we abandoned our dream, we decided to do it alone. So this week let's take charge and make sure we're steering ourselves where we want to go in 2010.
