How has 2010 started for you?
I’ve been thinking about my new year’s resolutions. I have to admit I didn’t achieve everything I set out to last year and that’s disappointing. So this year it’s going to be different.
I received some good advice from Nigel Risner who’s a very successful and inspirational coach and motivational speaker. His advice is simple but effective:
First write down what you want to achieve in 2010. Make sure it’s Specific, Motivational, Attainable, Relevant and Track-able.
Secondly, one of the keys to achieving everything on your list is to look at it every day. So everyday I’m going to ask myself "What else can I do today, to achieve my 2010 goals?"
Thirdly, you will achieve everything you try to achieve in 2010. No secrets to success, just plain old-fashioned hard work. Simple but effective. When you passionately and enthusiastically pursue your goals you will become unstoppable. But to finish you have to start and it all starts with you.
So, determine what you want. Determine what you're willing to give up to get it. Then start - just do what it takes to achieve your goals. Believe you will achieve all your goals because if you don't you won't. If you do you will.
This time next year I don’t want to be wishing I’d started today - so here goes! What will you do?
Do let me know if I can help you achieve any of your goals.
Warm wishes for a healthy, enjoyable and successful 2010. Sarah
