The last few weeks have taught me some lessons about resilience. Or more accurately I suppose the various issues I've been dealing with have reminded me that resilience is key to being successful in whatever it is you set your mind to. There have been so many examples recently.

When faced with an emotionally charged situation it is all too easy to get things out of proportion, to over-react and throw in the towel. By taking a step back, reflecting on the bigger picture and refocussing efforts on achieving the next step needed to reach our end goal, we can quickly get back on track. It's not the obstacles that we come across that will determine whether we are ultimately successful but how we approach them, find ways round them and how determined we are to make our way through despite how long it takes or how hard it seems. The more quickly we recover from any set backs the stronger we become. How resilient are you? I bet you're actually more resilient than you sometimes feel.
